Festival Special Trains: CR announces additional trains from Pune and Mumbai for festive season

November 13, 2023: In response to the increased demand during the festive season, Central Railway has introduced four additional ‘Festival Special Trains’ between Pune/Mumbai and Danapur. These special services aim to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. The decision reflects Central Railway’s commitment to ensuring convenient and efficient travel for its passengers during this busy time of the year.

Pune-Danapur Special Services

01481 Pune-Danapur Special

Schedule: Departs from Pune at 19.55 hrs on 13.11.2023 (Monday), arriving in Danapur at 04.30 hrs on the third day.
Halts: The train will stop at Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chhivki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, and Ara.
Composition: Comprises 17 ICF coaches, including 12 General Second Class (one of which is an AC 3-tier), 4 non-AC Chair Car, and 2 Guard Brake Vans.

01482 Danapur-Pune Special

Schedule: Departs from Danapur at 06.30 hrs on 15.11.2023 (Wednesday), reaching Pune at 17.35 hrs the following day.

Pune-Danapur Super-Fast Special

Schedule: Departs from Pune at 19.55 hrs on 14.11.2023 (Tuesday), reaching Danapur at 04.30 hrs on the third day.
Composition: The train will have 19 ICF coaches, including one AC 3-tier, 9 sleeper class, 9 general second class, and 2 guard brake vans.

CSMT-Danapur Special Service

01485 CSMT-Danapur Special (One-way)

Schedule: Leaves Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 23.55 hrs on 14.11.2023 (Tuesday), arriving in Danapur at 07.00 hrs on the third day.
Halts: The train will stop at Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chhivki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, and Ara.
Composition: Consists of 20 ICF coaches, including one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 10 General Second Class, 2 Guard’s Brake Van, and 1 Parcel Van in a closed condition.

Reservations for these ‘Festival Special Trains’ are currently open. Passengers planning to travel during the festive season are advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute hassles. These special trains are an initiative by Central Railway to enhance passenger convenience and support the increased travel demand during the festive period.
