Pune’s PMPML Launches New Eco-Friendly Bus Service on Route 104 ‘A’ Connecting Shivajinagar to Suncity

PUNE – In a significant boost to public transportation in the city, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has officially launched a new bus service – Route Number 104 ‘A’. The service, flagged off on Saturday, aims to provide a comfortable, safe, and environmentally friendly travel option for residents along the western corridors of the city.
The new route was inaugurated by Pune Mayor Manjusha Nagpure in the presence of PMPML Director Ajay Khedekar, Singhad Regional Office President Sachin More, Corporator Jyoti Gosavi, and other senior officials. The ceremony included the traditional puja of the new bus and the waving of a green flag at the Shivajinagar depot.
Route and Connectivity
The bus will operate between Shivajinagar and Suncity, covering several densely populated neighborhoods. The full route in the direction from Suncity to Shivajinagar is as follows:

- Anandanagar
- Shivpushpa Park
- Bhai Da Keher Chowk
- Hingne
- Vitthalwadi
- Rajaram Bridge
- Karvenagar
- Shivajinagar
Officials confirmed that the same route will be followed in reverse from Shivajinagar to Suncity, ensuring seamless two-way connectivity.
Commitment to Smart and Green Travel
With a tagline of “Your Travel, Our Service” (Pravas Tumcha, Seva Aamchi), PMPML has emphasized that Route 104 ‘A’ will feature regular and dependable timings, passenger safety, and affordable fares. The new bus is part of the undertaking’s larger push towards Harit Pravas (green travel) for a clean and beautiful Pune.
“This service is designed for daily commuters, including students and office workers, who need a reliable link between the eastern and western parts of the city,” an PMPML official stated. The new route is expected to ease congestion on private vehicles and provide a last-mile connectivity solution for residents of Karvenagar and Hingne.
