Director of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary) Dr. Mahesh Palakar has issued instructions to all Divisional Deputy Directors of Education to facilitate the admissions and ensure that eligible students do not suffer academic loss. The entire process must be completed within seven days, and a compliance report must be submitted.

The education department has also directed officials to seek written explanations from schools and junior colleges that granted unauthorised offline admissions. Officials must verify students’ attendance, classroom availability and the necessary physical facilities in these institutions.

Students admitted through unauthorised offline admissions will be allowed to appear for their examinations at a centre other than the regular examination centre of the institution concerned.

Institutions that granted unauthorised admissions will face a fine of ₹5,000 per student. The fine cannot be recovered from the students. The responsibility of principals and headmasters who violated the government’s admission process must also be fixed, and appropriate action taken against them.

The Directorate of Education has further instructed officials to submit proposals for strict action against institutions found granting offline admissions to Class 11 students during the 2026-27 academic year as well.
