Pune Airport to Add 15 More Check-in Counters as the Renovated Old Terminal Reopens Shortly

Passengers traveling out of Pune will have an additional 15 check-in counters at the airport as the old terminal, which was closed down after the opening of the new integrated terminal in soon to re-open after renovation.
This development will increase the check-in counters at Pune airport from current 34 to 49, making it smoother and faster to board a flight from the city.
As per reports 95% of the renovation work is completed at the old terminal and is due to open soon. According to authorities, only security equipment remains to be installed, which will be completed shortly.
The renovated terminal will have two check-in X-Ray machines, four screening machines, two remote boarding gates, expanded security holding areas and four DigiYatra terminals to expedite passenger movement.
Pune airport has approval for 235 flight slots, out of which currently 208 are being utilized. The balance slots can be used by airlines when the passenger handling capacity is further enhanced after the reopening of the old airport terminal.
