Maharashtra Class 12 Results Declared: 89.79% Pass, Girls Outshine Boys

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) officially declared the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Class 12 results today, May 2, 2026. Students who appeared for the board exams can now check their scores across official websites.

This year, the state recorded an overall pass percentage of 89.79%, maintaining a strong academic performance under strict vigilance and copy-free campaigns.

• Total Candidates Passed: 12,86,843
• Overall Pass Percentage: 89.79%

In a strong demonstration of academic excellence, girls have once again outshone boys. The pass percentage for female candidates stood at 93.15%, while male candidates registered a pass rate of 86.80%.

• Commerce: 87.03%
• Vocational: 82.74%
• ITI: 81.78%
• Arts: 78.02%

The nine divisional boards of the Maharashtra State Board reported varied performance metrics. Konkan division maintained the highest pass percentage for another consecutive year.

How to Check the Maharashtra 12th Result 2026

Students can access their provisional mark sheets online. Here are the steps to view the result:

1. Visit Official Portals: Go to mahresult.nic.in or mahahsscboard.in.
2. Select Result Link: Click on the “HSC Examination February 2026 Result” link on the homepage.
3. Enter Credentials: Type in your Seat Number and your Mother’s First Name (or “XXX” if the mother’s name is not specified on the hall ticket).
4. View and Download: Click ‘Submit’ to display your score, then save a PDF copy for future reference.

Re-evaluation and Supplementary Examinations

• Verification Window: Students unsatisfied with their results can apply for verification, retotalling, and photocopies of answer sheets from May 3 to May 17, 2026.
