Pune Metro’s Civil Court Station Nears Completion, Set to Become the Largest Interchange Station

Pune Metro's Civil Court Station

PUNE, July 04, 2023: The Pune Metro Civil Court Station is moving towards its completion, marking a significant milestone in the development of the city’s transportation network. This ambitious project is poised to become the biggest interchange station in the metro network, seamlessly connecting three key metro lines.

The three intersecting metro lines will include:

  1. PCMC – Swargate
  2. Vanaj – Ramwadi
  3. Hinjewadi – Shivajinagar

At the heart of this network, the Civil Court Metro Station is an interchange station constructed by the Cut & Cover method. Situated at a prime location, this station is surrounded by Nyaymurti Ranade Path and Dengle Bridge road on two sides, the Mutha River on the third, and open land on the fourth.

The station has a unique design feature – a crossover towards the Northern End – constructed using the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM). This innovative approach facilitates seamless passenger movement across different metro corridors, significantly enhancing the commuting experience.
