PUNE, May 23, 2023: Pune city is about to get a new identity with the unveiling of the underground Metro route. This ‘New Underground World’ of Pune Metro promises to revolutionize the way we commute.

The new route has been carefully designed by MahaMetro to offer a unique traveling experience to its users. The underground tunnel, approximately 90 feet deep, has been planned with a special design feature – a ‘well’ that allows an abundance of sunlight to filter through. This ensures that there’s no issue of lack of fresh air, providing commuters with a pleasant and comfortable journey.

Photos released of this new underground world of Pune Metro give a glimpse into the future of commuting in the city. All photos show the glass encased metro capsules, which open only when the metro arrives at the station. This design element prioritizes the safety of passengers and is the first of its kind in India, introduced at the underground Metro station in Pune.

Adding an artistic touch to the station, a dedicated art gallery has been set up. It will feature carefully selected items representing Pune’s rich culture and heritage, displayed within sleek wooden frames.
