Pune: Massive Fire Erupts in Two Flats of High Rise Building in Hinjawadi IT Park: No Casualties Reported
PUNE, April 30, 2026: A massive fire broke out across two flats in a residential building in Hinjawadi Phase 3, on Thursday afternoon, triggering panic among residents. Thick, dark smoke quickly blanketed the residential complex and surrounding areas, causing fear and confusion.
According to the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) fire brigade, an emergency call regarding the incident was received around 3:00 PM. Preliminary information indicates that the blaze originated in one of the flats after a table fan reportedly exploded. The fire then spread rapidly, engulfing an adjacent unit within the same building.
Firefighters and emergency response teams reached the spot and immediately launched a firefighting operation on a war footing to bring the blaze under control. Their swift action prevented the flames from spreading further to other parts of the residential complex.
A senior fire official confirmed that the situation has been stabilized and brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported during the incident. The exact cause of the fire is still being investigated by authorities.
