Matheran Toy Train Service to Operate Only Between Aman Lodge and Matheran During Monsoon

Like every year, Central Railway has announced the partial suspension of its iconic Matheran Toy Train services during the monsoon season.

This service operates between Neral and Matheran via Aman Lodge. As a precautionary measure during monsoons, the CR suspends its services between Neral and Aman Lodge owing to high gradient, the risk of rock falls, flooding and landslides.

However, CR confirmed that the services between Aman Lodge and Matheran will continue to ply as per schedule, providing tourists with an opportunity to experience the beautiful landscapes from the windows of nostalgic and beautiful toy train, chugging along the hills in mists and rain.

There will be 6 trips on weekdays and 8 on weekends between Matheran and Aman Lodge. The first train will depart from Matheran at 8.20 am to reach Aman Lodge at 8.38 am. Simillarly, the first train from Aman Lodge will depart at 8.45 am and arrive at Matheran at 9.03 am. Here is the detailed monsoon schedule of Matheran Toy Train for your reference.

The tickets for these trains cannot be booked online and have to be booked at Neral, Aman Lodge and Matheran stations.
