Pune: PMC Demolishes 4400 Sq. Ft. of Unauthorized Construction
Pune News, June 29, 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation has acted decisively and demolished over 4400 sq. ft. of unauthorized construction in Shivneri Nagar area of Pune Peth.
This action was taken by Encroachment/Unauthorized Construction Eradication Department of PMC under orders from Municipal Commissioner and under the supervision of Somanath Bankar, Deputy Commissioner PMC.
The demolition was carried out by officers and employees of the Construction Eradication Department of PMC, under the security of local police and M.S.F. personnel.
Machines like JCB, rocker, breaker, and manual laborers helped in carrying out the demolition.
Pune Municipal Corporation carries out such demolition activities as per the rules to ensure a safe and well-planned urban existence.
