Nashik: Major Water Supply Disruption Announced for Repair Works

Nashik Water Supply Disruption

Nashik, Feb 11, 2024: A significant portion of Nashik city is set to experience a water supply shutdown this Friday due to essential repair works. The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s water supply department has announced that the disruption is a result of necessary repairs to a direct leakage found in a 1200 mm diameter water channel near No. 9 Carbon Neck and the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Municipal School in the Satpur Division and Shivajinagar.

The affected areas include Wards 8, 10, and 11 of the Satpur Division and Ward 7 of the Nashik West Division. The shutdown will commence from 9 am on Friday (23rd) to address the issue promptly. Residents are informed that the water supply will be halted in areas such as Balwantnagar Jalakumbh Complex, Someshwar Colony, and several others across the mentioned wards, impacting a significant part of the community.

The municipal corporation assures residents that efforts are being made to minimize the inconvenience, and a small amount of water will be supplied at low pressure on Saturday following the repair works. The extensive list of affected areas encompasses a wide range of residential and commercial premises, indicating a broad impact across the city.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare accordingly, storing sufficient water in anticipation of the shutdown. The municipal corporation is committed to completing the repairs efficiently to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.
