Mumbai: The Mahayuti government plans to deploy 100 ambulances across major accident-prone highways in Maharashtra to strengthen emergency response, with the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Samruddhi Mahamarg among the routes identified for deployment.

According to the information released, around 80 to 100 ambulances are planned for accident-prone highways, with priority to be given to accident black spots and remote areas.

The initiative is aimed at providing emergency assistance during the critical ‘Golden Hour’ following road accidents.

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Samruddhi Mahamarg have been specifically identified for deployment of the ambulances.
