What to Do If Your Name is Not Included in Pune’s Draft Electoral List

The draft electoral list has been published for Pune district. You must find your name in this list to ensure your voting right is maintained. Here is how you can find your name in the draft list.

However, if you fail to find your name in the draft electoral list or if you are new voter, then you must get your name added to the list ASAP. The claims and objections period is between 31 August 2026 to 30 September 2026.

From 31 August to 29 October the claims are disposed and notices are issued. Once all this is over, the final electoral roll will be published on November 04, 2026.

For New Voters and Whose Names are Missing

Those voters who have recently become eligible to vote, as on October 01, 2026, or those whose names are missing must fill in Form 6 along with the required declaration.

Online applications for the same can be submitted by visiting voters.eci.gov.in or ECINET mobile app. For offline applications, citizens must visit Voter Registration Officer during office hours or contact their BLO.

Corrections in the Electoral Roll

If there are any mistakes or discrepancies in the electoral roll, voters can fill up Form 8. This form can also be used to make appropriate disability/PwD entry in the electoral roll. The same form can also be used along with a declaration if a voter has migrated from another state to Maharashtra.

Form 7 can be used to request deletion from the electoral roll due to death or any other reason.

False Information

The Election Commission has warned that furnishing any false information can attract penal procedure under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, leading to fine, imprisonment, or both.

Special Campaign at Polling Stations

A special campaign will be organized at polling stations to assist voters with electoral roll related activities. The campaign dates are:

  • Saturday, 19/09/2026
  • Sunday, 20/09/2026
  • Saturday, 26/09/2026
  • Sunday, 27/09/2026

In addition to this, voters can also contact voter helpline at 1800 22 1950 for any information and assistance.

Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has requested citizens to check their names in the draft electoral rolls and take corrective action in case of any discrepancy.
