The campaign, which specifically targeted the premises of MIT College, aimed to restore public spaces, clear congested thoroughfares, and ensure strict compliance with urban development norms. During the sweep, the department’s enforcement teams removed unauthorized structures and seized a substantial quantity of materials found operating illegally on the premises.

Local authorities stated that this action is part of a broader, ongoing initiative to curb illegal encroachments across the city, particularly around educational institutions, high-traffic zones, and commercial hubs. The department reiterated its firm commitment to maintaining urban order and ensuring the safety and convenience of students, residents, and visitors.

Officials confirmed that the seized items, which included temporary stalls, vendor carts, and construction materials, have been confiscated. Further surprise inspections and enforcement drives are expected to take place in the coming days as civic bodies step up their monitoring across the Kothrud and Bavdhan neighborhoods.
