Pune: New DP Road in Dhayari and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Natyagruha Projects Fast-Tracked; Officials Conduct Site Inspections
Pune, February 28, 2026: In order to give bosst to infrastructure and cultural development in the Sinhagad Road area, senior officials and local representatives conducted joint inspections of two major upcoming projects: the new Development Plan (DP) road in Dhayari and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Natyagruha in Manikbag.
Dhayari DP Road to Resolve Connectivity Woes
The proposed DP road connecting the Lokmat office to Savitri Garden on DP Road is set to gain momentum. During the site visit, officials engaged directly with local residents whose lands are earmarked for the project.
A key focus of the visit was ensuring a transparent acquisition process. Officials held detailed discussions with affected families, specifically seeking input and addressing the expectations of women in the community. The administration has pledged to complete the road within the stipulated timeframe, prioritizing public trust and community participation to ensure seamless connectivity for Dhayari residents.
Cultural Milestone: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Natyagruha
The delegation also reviewed the progress of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Natyagruha at Manikbag on Sinhagad Road. This auditorium is envisioned as a cornerstone for the cultural development of the area.
Former Mayor Manjusha Deepak Nagpure, Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, and City Engineer Mr. Pawaskar were present to evaluate the construction quality. Key directives were issued to the contractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure the facility is inaugurated on schedule.
