Pune: Parked Ertiga Catches Fire Near Siddhi Hospital in Balajinagar; No Injuries Reported
Pune News, July 20, 2025: A parked Maruti Ertiga suddenly caught fire in the early hours of Saturday near Siddhi Hospital in Balajinagar, causing panic among local residents. The incident occurred around 3 AM, prompting a swift response from the fire brigade, which managed to bring the blaze under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke and flames engulfing the four-wheeler before the firefighting team arrived. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have initiated an investigation to determine whether it was due to an electrical short circuit or a mechanical fault.
Local police and fire officials confirmed that the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the incident, preventing any casualties. “Our team acted promptly and doused the flames before they could spread to nearby structures,” said a fire department official.
