Pune News, June 23, 2025: Air India has announced the temporary suspension of its direct Pune-Singapore flight until July 15 as part of a broader operational restructuring. The decision comes amid heightened scrutiny following the recent Ahmedabad plane crash and aims to enhance network stability.

The affected flight, AI-2111, originally launched by Vistara in December 2022, operated four times a week using an Airbus A-321 aircraft. It departed from Pune at 02:10 (IST) and arrived in Singapore at 10:30 (GMT). The route was inaugurated virtually by former Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

In an official statement, Air India clarified that the suspension is part of a 5% reduction in narrow-body operations, impacting three routes and reducing frequency on 19 others. The airline emphasized that these measures are intended to improve operational reliability and minimize last-minute disruptions for passengers.

Alongside the Pune-Singapore route, Air India has also suspended its Bengaluru-Singapore flight as part of these adjustments. The changes will remain in effect until at least mid-July, with further updates expected based on operational assessments.

Passengers booked on these flights are being offered alternate arrangements or refunds, the airline confirmed.
