Indian forces executed Operation Vijay, supported by the Indian Air Force’s precision strikes under Operation Safed Sagar and maritime posture by the Indian Navy under Operation Talwar. On July 26, 1999, India successfully evicted every enemy intruder from the peaks of Dras, Batalik, and Mashkoh Valley, restoring the national flag atop the heights.
