Pune: Winter is not over yet, temperature will drop below 10°C in February

Pune registers as the coldest city in state, with temperatures dropping to 11.7°C

Winter is not over yet in Pune and IMD Pune has predicted that the minimum temperature will fall below 10 degrees in the beginning of February during night time.


On Saturday, the temperature plunged to 12.2°C as recorded by the Shivajinagar Observatory of IMD. The maximum temperature was maintained at around 30-32°C which is normal for this time.


The minimum and maximum temperatures for the next couple of days are expected to be in the range of 12-14°C and 30-32°C respectively, till the end of this month.


Starting February 2nd however, the minimum temperature is expected to go down to 9°C at night in Shivajinagar, while it will remain at 10°C in Pashan. Lohegaon is expected to register 12°C, while Chinchwad, Lavale and Magarpatta are expected to remain warm at 15°C, 16°C and 15°C respectively.

On February 3rd, the minimum temperature in Pashan will also drop down to 9°C, Lohegaon to 11°C and the other areas will experience minimum temperatures between 11-14°C. Same trend is expected to continue on 4th February as well.

The skies will be clear and the days will be sunny during this duration, and there shall be no clouds in the sky as per IMD Pune.


The minimum temperature of the season in Pune city as on day was 7.4°C recorded on 10th January.
