As of January 25, when the contracts for the prepaid Ola and Uber stands at Pune international airport are set to expire, the private taxi stands will relocate to the newly completed Aeromall.

Director of Pune Airport Santosh Dhoke stated, “The Ola and Uber prepaid stands’ contract with airport officials will expire on January 25.” These stands will be relocated to Aeromall. The rent will be determined by Aeromall administrators.” Once the prepayment taxi stands are relocated to the new building, the existing structure will have additional capacity to accommodate more individuals.

“In many other cities, passengers must walk between 500 and 1,000 meters to reach a taxi at the airport. At the airport in Pune, travelers will scarcely need to walk 400 meters. Hence, it should not be an issue for flyers. “We have a foot-overbridge (FOB) linking the old building and Aeromall so that flyers have easy access to the parking area where private prepaid taxi stands are likely to be constructed,” Dhoke explained.

However, when contacted the employee at the booking desk stated, “The contract will expire on January 25.” We have not yet determined where we will relocate. I hope that passengers have no issues once we relocate.”

“Since Aero mall isn’t too far away, I don’t believe it would cause any issues for passengers. It is good that the locations of these stands are changing. It will alleviate airport traffic congestion,” said one passenger
