Pune: PMC Demolishes 16,700 Sq. Ft of Unauthorized Construction

Pune News: A yellow Escorts JCB excavator demolishes an unauthorized concrete wall and temporary structure in front of a multi-story residential building during a Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) demolition drive.

Pune, July 01, 2026: The Encroachment/Unauthorized Construction Elimination Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation carried out a demolition drive on Tuesday against unauthorized/temporary constructions.

This action was carried out under the orders of the Municipal Commissioner and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Somanath Bankar.

A total of 16,700 square feet of unauthorized temporary/permanent constructions were demolished in Pune Peth Shivneri Nagar, Mithanagar Kondhwa, Keshavnagar Mundhwa, and Undri areas.

This action was executed with the assistance of officers and employees of the Pune Municipal Corporation, police security arrangements, MSF personnel, as well as necessary machinery and equipment.
