Pune Airport Adds More Golf Carts for Passengers; Eight Now Available Between New Terminal and Aeromall

Pune: Eight golf carts are now available to carry passengers between Pune Airport’s new terminal and Aeromall, making the nearly 400-metre journey easier for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and passengers travelling with small children or heavy luggage.
The airport earlier had three golf carts and recently added three more as passenger and flight numbers increased. Aeromall has another two carts, taking the total to eight. The new carts are larger and can carry seven to eight passengers at a time.
Three buses are also being used to move passengers between the new terminal and Aeromall.
The distance from the new terminal’s arrival gate to Aeromall and the cab pick-up point is around 400 metres. The walk can be difficult for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, passengers with small children and those carrying heavy luggage.
Yuvrajsingh Rajput, vice-president of Aeromall, said increasing the number of golf carts has reduced passenger waiting time and helped manage the crowd outside the terminal.
