Ashadhi Wari 2026: Pune District Administration Orders Travel Ban Towards Alandi as All Bridges Are Submerged
The palkhi of Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Prasthan Sohala is supposed to proceed towards Alandi today. However the district administration has appealed to the Warkaris (pilgrims), devotees, and general public heading towards Alandi to stop immediately and stay wherever they are.
People are strictly warned not to attempt to enter Alandi, and to completely avoid going near the riverbed, the temple ghats (riverfront steps), and any closed bridges.
All the four bridges over Indrayni river leading towards Alandi are submerged under water and any attempt to cross them could be catastrophic.
General public is advised to keep an eye for the latest updates from the district administration and government machinery and strictly adhere to the instructions to prevent loss or injury.
