Maharashtra Electoral Roll Revision 2026 Deadline Ends September 30; Verify Your Name Today
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Maharashtra State, has announced the schedule and guidelines for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026, asking citizens to check their names in the draft electoral roll and complete necessary registrations or corrections.
Schedule & Timeline
- Filing Claims and Objections: 31 August 2026 to 30 September 2026
- Disposal of Notices, Claims, and Objections: 31 August 2026 to 29 October 2026
- Publication of Final Electoral Roll: 04 November 2026
Special Campaign Days at Polling Stations To assist citizens in submitting forms, special campaigns will be organized at polling stations on the following four dates:
- Saturday, 19 September
- Sunday, 20 September
- Saturday, 26 September
- Sunday, 27 September
Checking Draft Electoral Rolls Citizens can check their details in the draft roll through the following methods:
- Search by Details: Visit electoralsearch.eci.gov.in to search using Voter ID card number, personal details, or mobile number.
- PDF Format: Access and view the PDF version of the draft electoral roll at voters.eci.gov.in.
Form Guidelines for Voters Depending on the requirement, citizens must fill out specific forms:
- Form No. 6 (with declaration): For new voter registration (eligible individuals turning 18 years as of the qualifying date 1 October 2026) or those whose names are missing from the draft list.
- Form No. 8: For corrections in details, registering disability status, or for voters relocating from other states (includes declaration).
- Form No. 7: For deletion of names due to death or other reasons.
Application Process (Online & Offline)
- Online: Submit forms via the official portal voters.eci.gov.in or through the ECINET mobile application.
- Offline: Visit the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) during office hours or contact the local Booth Level Officer (BLO).
Legal Warning & Helpline The election office cautions that submitting false information or incorrect objections is an offense under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, punishable by up to 1 year of imprisonment, a fine, or both.
