Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) had recently conducted an inspection of the newly renovated terminal and a final security clearance is awaited. Fire NOC, ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer) drills and final security inspection have already been completed.

The old terminal has been upgraded to add capacity to Pune Airport’s passenger handling capacity. Additional space, measuring approximately 4075 square meters, will create expanded check-in area, preboarding security check and security hold area.

Besides adding additional check-in counters and boarding gates, the newly renovated terminal will have enhanced passenger amenities such as Digi Yatra gates, a baby care room, diaper-changing station, seating with power sockets, food and beverage facilities, and retail outlets.

Once the BCAS clearance is obtained, the terminal will enhance Pune Airport’s passenger handling capacity by 405 passengers per hour.

The renovated old terminal, along with the integrated new terminal, will help in providing passengers smoother transit from Pune Airport.
