Pune: BLO Home Visits for SIR to Commence from June 30; What You Need to Know

Pune, June 29, 2026: Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct mandatory home visits from June 30 to July 29, 2026. The district administration and local civic bodies in coordination with the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra are conducting Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the Electoral Roll.
How to Prepare for BLO Home Visit for SIR
- Residents are encouraged to verify their or their parents’ details (Name, Constituency, Part No., and Serial No.) from the previous revision beforehand.
- This can be done online via the official website voters.eci.gov.in or by downloading the ECINeT App.
During the BLO Visit
- Cooperate fully with the visiting BLO to verify household voter information.
- Fill out the necessary details in the enumeration form provided by the officer, sign it, and hand over a copy.
- Important: Ensure you collect and retain an official acknowledgment copy for your personal records.
What to Do If Names Are Missing From Previous Roll
If a resident’s or their parents’ name is missing from the previous roll, they must keep any one of the following valid documents ready for the BLO:
- Aadhaar Card (widely accepted as identity proof)
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- 10th Standard (Matriculation) or Educational Certificate
- Residence Certificate (Domicile) or Caste Certificate
- Government/PSU Employee ID or Pension Identity Card
- State/Local Authority Family Registry
- Government-issued Land or House Allotment Certificate
- Forest Rights Certificate or Proof of National National Register of Citizens (NRC)
- Identity proof/certificate issued before July 1, 1987, by a Bank, Post Office, or LIC.
