Bhimashankar Temple Reopens for Devotees; Online Pre-booking Mandatory

Shri Kshetra Bhimakshankar Temple, one of the 12 revered Jyotirlings in India, has been re-opened for darshan from today, i.e. June 15, 2026. The temple remained closed for devotees for the last five months due to expansion and renovation work.
Although the temple is now open for devotees, the temple trust, district administration and the local police have enforced strict guidelines and a cap on the number of people who can visit the temple daily to ensure safety and manage the crowds.
There will be no walk-ins allowed and only devotees with pre-booked passes will be allowed inside the temple. The daily cap of the number of devotees has been placed at 1000.
The renovation and expansion work were carried out in preparation for Simshastha Kumbh Mela 2027. The temple’s main assembly hall – Sabhamandap and step ways were extensively upgraded after the temple was closed to devotees on January 09, 2026.
New Guidelines for Bhimashankar Darshan
- No walk-inns will be permitted and entry will be given to only pre-booked pass holders.
- Only 1000 devotees will be granted entry passes on a daily basis. The list of registered devotees will be published on the temple’s website.
- Between June 15 to June 30, the temple will open for darshan only between 7.00 am to 9.00 am.
- All pre-booked devotees are required to carry an id proof registered during booking process for identity verification before entry to the temple.

- Select the date and time slot for darshan.
- Fill in your details and complete the registration.
- Download and print your darshan pass.
District administration, Ghodegaon Police and the temple authorities have appealed to the devotees to only visit the temple with a valid darshan pass, follow the procedure and cooperate to ensure smooth darshan for everyone.
