Alliance Air Launches ‘Fare Se Fursat’ Fixed Fare Scheme to End Fluctuating Airfares

India’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, has launched a new initiative called ‘Fare Se Fursat’, introduced by the government-owned regional airline Alliance Air. The scheme aims to offer passengers freedom from fluctuating airfares by introducing a fixed price model for select routes.
Launched on October 13, 2025, in New Delhi, the initiative will run on a pilot basis till December 31, 2025. Under this scheme, Alliance Air will offer a single, fixed fare that remains the same regardless of the booking date, even on the day of travel. The move seeks to make flying more predictable and affordable for passengers across India.
Promoting Affordable and Predictable Air Travel
Speaking at the launch, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said the ‘Fare Se Fursat’ scheme aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of democratizing air travel. “Alliance Air is taking forward the Prime Minister’s dream of making aviation affordable for the middle class, lower-middle class and neo-middle class,” he said.
He explained that the fixed fare system removes the stress of changing ticket prices and ensures passengers know exactly what to pay, even for last-minute bookings. This step, he added, supports the broader vision of making air travel more accessible and people-centric.

Inspired by the UDAN Scheme
Rammohan Naidu also highlighted other people-friendly initiatives introduced by the Ministry, such as the Udan Yatri Cafes that serve tea for ₹10, coffee for ₹20 and snacks for ₹20 at airports across India. “Now we are addressing one of the biggest concerns of passengers — airfare unpredictability,” he said.
Alliance Air, a key player in the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN), has been instrumental in linking Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities with the national aviation network. Calling the scheme “One Route, One Fare”, the Minister described it as ‘Naye Bharat ki Udaan’, reflecting a people-first approach beyond profitability.
Making Flying Accessible for All
India’s aviation market currently operates on a dynamic pricing model where fares fluctuate based on demand, competition, and timing. While this helps airlines manage revenue, it often frustrates passengers, especially those booking closer to departure.
The ‘Fare Se Fursat’ scheme aims to change that by introducing transparency and consistency in pricing. It is also expected to attract more first-time flyers from smaller towns, supporting the government’s goal of ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ – making air travel available, accessible, and affordable for every Indian.
