Hyundai Launches Creta King Editions at ₹17.89 Lakh to Mark 10 Years in India

Hyundai has rolled out a special treat for Creta fans as the popular SUV completes a decade in India. On September 2, 2025, the company launched the Creta King and Creta King Limited Editions, starting at ₹17.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec Creta King Limited Edition diesel automatic is priced at ₹20.92 lakh, making these the most expensive Creta models so far.
Premium Positioning in the Segment
The new King variants sit above Hyundai’s regular trims, commanding a clear price premium. For example, the Creta King petrol manual at ₹17.89 lakh is ₹40,500 costlier than the SX Premium variant. The top-end diesel automatic Limited Edition is nearly ₹50,800 pricier than its equivalent SX Premium.
This pricing strategy places the Creta King closer to rivals like the Kia Seltos HTX(O) at ₹16.77 lakh and the Maruti Grand Vitara Alpha at ₹16.90 lakh. With sales of 1.94 lakh units in FY2025, Hyundai seems confident that Creta’s strong brand value justifies the premium.
Exclusive Features for Added Value
Hyundai has packed the King editions with new features to set them apart. These include larger 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, dual-zone climate control, power seat memory for the driver, an electric 8-way adjustable passenger seat with walk-in function, and even a built-in dashcam. A new Black Matte colour has also been introduced, available across the Creta range.
The Limited Edition offers extra touches of exclusivity with ‘King’ branding on seat belt covers, headrest cushions, floor mats, key covers, and door cladding. It is available only with automatic transmissions, IVT for petrol and a 6-speed AT for diesel, targeting buyers who want a more premium experience.

A Tradition of Special Editions
Over the past decade, Hyundai has often relied on special editions to keep the Creta fresh in the market. In 2016, the Anniversary Edition introduced a dual-tone theme. The Adventure Edition came in 2023 with blacked-out styling and a dashcam, while the Knight Edition in 2024 offered an all-black design with brass accents. The new King editions continue this tradition, combining exclusivity with features aimed at standing out in the crowded SUV market.
