Pune: PMRDA Expedites Land Acquisition Process for 65-Meter Wide Inner Ring Road Project, Engages Directly with Affected Farmers
Pune News, July 18, 2025: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has started expediting the land acquisition process for the ongoing 65-meter-wide Ring Road project. In a bid to ensure transparency and cooperation, PMRDA officials have initiated direct dialogue with farmers from villages that will be affected by the project.
The villages involved include Vadgaon Shinde, Nirgudi, Ambegaon Khurd, Jambhulwadi, Bhilarewadi, Mangadewadi, Gujar Nimbalkarwadi, Yewalewadi, Pisoli, Vadachiwadi, Kadamwak Wasti (Haveli Taluka), and Solu (Khed Taluka).
A crucial meeting was held with the affected farmers, attended by key officials including Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Additional Commissioner Deepak Singla, Chief Engineer Rinaj Pathan, and Land Acquisition Coordination Officer Kalyan Pandhare, among others.

PMRDA emphasized that the land acquisition process will be carried out with the farmers’ consent while safeguarding their rights. Authorities addressed farmers’ concerns and provided necessary guidance to resolve any doubts regarding compensation and rehabilitation.
