Pune: PMRDA Cracks Down on Illegal Constructions in Maan Area to Ease Hinjawadi-Maan-Marunji Traffic Congestion
Pune News, July 18, 2025: In a joint operation aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in the Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji areas, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) along with other government agencies carried out a major anti-encroachment drive in the Man region.
The drive targeted unauthorized constructions, with 28 illegal structures in Survey No. 166 being demolished. Additionally, encroachments near Wipro Circle, including those around Mauli Hotel, were also cleared.
According to officials, these unauthorized developments had become major bottlenecks in the region’s traffic network, especially affecting thousands of daily commuters heading to and from Hinjawadi Phase 2 and surrounding tech parks.
