Jaguar trainer aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) met with a tragic accident on Wednesday, July 9, crashing near Bhanoda village in Rajasthan’s Churu district. Both pilots sustained fatal injuries, and the IAF has confirmed no civilian casualties or property damage.

The incident occurred around 1:25 PM in an agricultural field in Bhanoda village, under the Rajaldesar police station jurisdiction. SHO Kamlesh told PTI that burning debris and human remains were found at the crash site. Local residents were the first to spot the wreckage and alerted authorities.

The IAF issued an official statement on social media platform ‘X’, expressing deep regret over the loss of lives and extending support to the bereaved families. A Court of Inquiry has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Rescue and Investigation Underway

Police and emergency teams rushed to the site shortly after the crash. The IAF has activated standard emergency protocols, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation. While initial reports suggest a routine training mission was underway, the exact reason behind the crash remains unclear.
