Indians can now travel to the Philippines without a visa! According to the Embassy of the Philippines in New Delhi, Indian visitors can now benefit from two types of short-term visa-free entry, each with its own eligibility requirements. Here’s all you need to know:

1. 14-Day Visa-Free Entry (For Tourism)

Indian citizens can now stay in the Philippines for up to 14 days without a visa, strictly for tourism purposes. This short-term stay is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another visa category.

To be eligible, travellers must:

  • Visit exclusively for tourism
  • Have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the stay
  • Provide confirmed hotel/accommodation bookings
  • Show proof of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statements, employment certificate)
  • Hold a confirmed return ticket
  • Have no negative immigration history in the Philippines

2. 30-Day Visa-Free Entry (For Certain Indians)

Indian nationals holding a valid visa or permanent residency from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, or any Schengen area nation can enjoy a 30-day visa-free stay in the Philippines. All documentation requirements from the 14-day category still apply.

This category is particularly helpful for Indians living abroad or frequent international travellers.

Want to Stay Beyond 14 Days Without a Foreign Visa?

If you don’t qualify for visa-free entry but still want to visit the Philippines for more than 14 days, you can apply for an e-Visa. The 9(a) Temporary Visitor Visa, available through evisa.gov.ph, allows a 30-day single-entry stay.

Applicants must submit:

  • A valid passport (minimum 6-month validity)
  • A government-issued ID
  • Passport-sized photos
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Return/onward travel ticket
  • Financial proof (bank statement or similar)

This policy update makes it easier than ever for Indian travellers to explore one of Southeast Asia’s most beautiful island destinations.
