Indians Can Now Travel Visa Free to Philippines: 14-Day & 30-Day Entry Options

Great news for Indian travelers! The Philippines has announced visa-free entry for Indian nationals, making travel to the Southeast Asian nation easier than ever. The new policy introduces two categories—14-day and 30-day visa-free stays—with specific eligibility criteria. Here’s everything you need to know before planning your trip.
14-Day Visa-Free Entry for Tourism:
Indian citizens can now visit the Philippines without a visa for up to 14 days, strictly for tourism purposes. However, travelers must meet the following requirements:
- A passport valid for at least six months beyond the stay.
- Proof of confirmed accommodation (hotel bookings).
- Evidence of sufficient funds (bank statements/employment certificates).
- A confirmed return ticket.
- No prior negative immigration history in the Philippines.
This visa-free stay is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another visa category.
30-Day Visa-Free Entry for Eligible Indians:
Indian nationals holding a valid visa or permanent residency from select countries—including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, or Schengen nations—can enjoy an extended 30-day visa-free stay. The same documentation requirements as the 14-day entry apply.
E-Visa Option for Longer Stays:
For Indians who don’t qualify for the 30-day visa-free entry but wish to stay longer than 14 days, the Philippines e-Visa (9(a) Temporary Visitor Visa) is available. Applicants must register on evisa.gov.ph and submit necessary documents, including passport copies, accommodation proof, and financial statements.
Why This Matters:
This move simplifies travel for Indian tourists and frequent international travelers, boosting tourism between India and the Philippines. Whether for a short vacation or an extended stay, the new visa-free policy offers flexibility and convenience.
