Pune’s Mulshi Dam Filling Up Fast, Water Release Commenced
Pune: Due to the rapidly rising water level in the Mulshi Dam, authorities have announced that a discharge of 8,100 cusecs will be released into the Mula River channel through the dam’s spillway today at 05:00 PM. An official notice has been issued by the Pune Municipal Corporation to inform the public and ensure safety.
The notice also states that the discharge rate may be increased or decreased depending on the rainfall and inflow into the dam.
Citizens residing near the banks of Mula river are strictly advised not to venture into the riverbed. Authorities have further requested that any equipment or livestock in the riverbed be moved to a safer location immediately.
The administration will provide timely official updates regarding the water discharge from the dam. Residents are urged not to believe rumors and to only follow official notices. Everyone is encouraged to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant during this period.
