Pune, July 08, 2026: As the city has been receiving heavy rains since the last few days, trees have been falling, causing damage to property and creating obstructions.

A large tree has fallen on Jungli Maharaj (JM) Road early this morning, near Bal Gandharva Rangmandir, completely blocking the carriageway. Fortunately no injuries or loss of life was reported.

As of now, the JM road has been completely closed to traffic and authorities are working to remove the fallen tree and open the road back to traffic quickly.

Commuters are advised to check traffic updates in Shivajinagar and JM road area before planning a commute that side.
