Pune: No Holiday for Schools Tomorrow; Only Some Schools to Remain Closed – District Collector
Pune, July 70, 2026: In the backdrop of heavy rain and flooding, there was a widespread speculation that the schools might be ordered shut even tomorrow, i.e. July 07, 2026.
However, District Collector Jitendra Dudi has made it clear that the schools in the Pune city will function normally.
Only the schools located in Junnar, Ambegaon, Khed, Maval, Mulshi, Rajgurunagar, and Bhor talukas located atop the ghats areas of the district will be closed as a precautionary measure.

The parents and students of those particular schools, that will be closed tomorrow, will be informed by their school authorities.
It is noteworthy the Pune city remains on yellow alert for heavy rains tomorrow, while the ghat sections of Pune continue to remain on red alert on July 07 for heavy to very rain and extremely heavy rain at isolated places.
Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid traveling to ghats, near water bodies or electricity line.
