Pune: Katraj-Kondhwa Road Work Gathers Speed, Flyover to be Completed Within Three Months
Pune, September 30, 2026: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Naval Kishor Ram inspected the Katraj-Kondhwa Road on Tuesday and took stock of the ongoing development works.
He directed officials to complete the flyover on the National Highway within the next three months and open it for traffic.
During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner also checked the status of land acquisition, road widening and relocation of electricity infrastructure along the road.
The administration has been directed to take necessary action to immediately take possession of properties where land acquisition is pending.
The approximately 3.5-km-long Katraj-Kondhwa Road is to be fully developed to its planned width of 50 metres. Officials have also been instructed to urgently relocate MSEDCL poles and electricity wires that are obstructing the road development work.
The PMC administration has been asked to accelerate the road works and take necessary measures to address traffic congestion in the area.
Around ₹272 crore has so far been spent on land acquisition for the road through joint funding from the Maharashtra government and PMC.
