A joint review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Naval Kishor Ram and Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi to review progress on the two projects. The HCMTR is planned as a 24-metre-wide route, while the Inner Ring Road is 65 metres wide.

Officials were instructed to complete the joint survey and demarcation of land along both routes by the deadline. They were also directed to submit the necessary supplementary documents and technical reports without delay for the transfer of land under the state government’s jurisdiction.

The meeting emphasised better coordination among the district administration, PMC and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to accelerate land acquisition.

Officials also reviewed Pune’s infrastructure, road network and traffic management arrangements in preparation for the upcoming Pune Grand Tour 2027.

The meeting was attended by PMRDA Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhary, Additional Municipal Commissioners Pavneet Kaur and Omprakash Divte, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Manoj Patil, and senior officials from the departments concerned.

The HCMTR and Inner Ring Road projects are intended to reduce traffic pressure on Pune’s internal roads and improve traffic movement across the city.
