Pune, September 29, 2026: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has finally resolved a 15-year-old land acquisition issue for the Baner-Pashan Link Road by paying ₹68 crore in compensation for the land after the final award was announced.

The PMC has now started the process of taking actual possession of the acquired land. The land acquisition required for the 36-metre-wide development plan road has been completed.

The Baner-Pashan Link Road is expected to provide relief to residents of Baner, Pashan, Sutardara and surrounding areas and help reduce traffic congestion.

Once the process of taking possession of the land is fully completed, the PMC Roads Department will take up the remaining road work. The civic body plans to open the road for public use soon.
