In addition, 20 trains have been short-terminated, 22 trains have been short-originated and four trains have been rescheduled as restoration work continues.

Several trains running to and from Pune have been cancelled for July 7, including the Indrayani Express, Deccan Express, Pragati Express, Deccan Queen, Sinhagad Express and the Pune–CSMT Intercity Express. The Pune–Solapur Intercity Express and its return service have also been cancelled.
Central Railway has also cancelled the Bhuj–Pune Express scheduled to begin its journey on July 8. The Pune–Bhuj Express that started on July 6 has also been cancelled instead of being diverted.
Many long-distance trains have been diverted through alternate routes via Daund, Manmad, Igatpuri, Kalyan, Jalgaon and Surat to avoid the affected ghat section. These include services connecting Mumbai with Chennai, Panvel, Dadar and other destinations.
Some trains have also been terminated at Pune instead of reaching Mumbai. These include the Hubballi–Dadar Express, Hyderabad–CSMT Express and the Solapur–CSMT Vande Bharat Express. Their return journeys will now begin from Pune.
In addition, the Nanded–CSMT Express has been rescheduled by two hours and will now depart at 3.15 pm instead of 1.15 pm.
Central Railway is continuing restoration work in the Karjat–Lonavala ghat section. Passengers travelling between Mumbai and Pune or on long-distance routes passing through the section have been advised to check the latest train status before leaving for the station, as further operational changes may be announced depending on restoration progress.
