- In a display of capabilities, the MMRC recently celebrated a noteworthy accomplishment, executing an extensive inaugural long-distance trial run. This trial covered an impressive 17 kilometers, extending from the MIDC station to the Vidyanagari Metro station, and retracing back to SEEPZ.
Previous Achievements and Progress
- The MMRC didn’t hold back on its progress, having initiated preliminary trial runs on a more modest scale, primarily a three-kilometer division between Sariput Nagar in Aarey and Marol since August 2022.
- The officials involved have shared that minor track laying tasks are pending completion. Following this, overhead electrical wiring will be electrified in both pathways, facilitating exhaustive trial runs across Phase 1 of the Mumbai Metro.
