Scout-Guide Made Mandatory Across All Medium Schools in Maharashtra
The Maharashtra government has made Scout and Guide compulsory across schools of all mediums in the state.
Under this ruling, training will be provided to 2.10 crore students across 1.08 lakh schools, expanding from the current coverage of 17 lakh 33 thousand students in 30 thousand schools.
The curriculum includes parades, drills, and drills set to patriotic songs.
The training will take place for two periods every two weeks as part of the ‘Anandadayi Shanivar’ (Joyful Saturday) initiative.
Additionally, teachers will receive a seven-day training program organized at the taluka level.
