Pune Metro Line 3 Nears Launch With End to End Service as 5 More Stations Cleared by CMRS
Pune, September 30, 2026: PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary has announced that the Hinjawadi-District Court Metro Line 3 has received safety clearance for five more stations on the 23km elevated corridor.
On Tuesday, while interacting with journalists at PMRDA Headquarters in Akurdi, Choudhary said the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has granted clearance to an additional 5 stations on the Pune Metro Line 3, on September 23, taking the total of cleared stations to 17.
These stations include the starting station at Maan and the terminal station at District Court in Pune city. This means the entire 23km metro corridor is now cleared to operate services with only 6 stations to be skipped.
The list of cleared and pending stations is as follows:
- Megapolis Circle – Cleared
- Quadron Circle – Cleared
- Dohler – Cleared
- Infosys Phase II – Cleared
- Wipro Technologies – Cleared
- Pall India – Cleared
- Shivaji Chowk – Cleared
- Hinjawadi – Cleared
- Waked Chowk – Cleared
- Balewadi Stadium – Cleared
- RK Laxman Museum – Cleared
- Ram Nagar – Cleared
- Laxmi Nagar – Pending
- Balewadi Phata – Pending
- Baner Gaon – Pending
- Baner- Pending
- Krushi Anusandhan – Cleared
- Sakal Nagar – Cleared
- Savitibai Phule Pune University – Cleared
- Reserve Bank of India – Pending
- Agriculture College – Cleared
- Shivajinagar – Pending
- District Court/Civil Court – Cleared
Last few technical details are being worked out and it is expected that these tecnnical aspects will be completed within the next 10-12 days, after which the project will be ready to be commissioned into service for commercial passengers, said the PMRDA Commissioner.
