Pune: Fire Brigade Inspects 36 PGs, Hostels, Classes and Other Establishments for Fire Safety
The Pune Fire Brigade has conducted fire safety inspections at 36 establishments, including PGs, hostels and classes, in Shivajinagar, Navi Peth and Lohegaon. The inspections were carried out following orders from Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishor Ram.
The inspection covered 21 PGs and hostels, 13 classes, one studio and one fitness gym.
Fire Brigade officials found deficiencies related to necessary permissions as well as fire safety measures at some of the establishments inspected.
The establishments concerned have been instructed to comply with the prescribed rules. The Fire Brigade has said strict action will be taken against establishments that fail to follow the rules.
The campaign also called upon establishments to follow fire safety rules and cooperate with the authorities.
