Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Declares School Holiday Tomorrow
Pune, July 06, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Education Department has declared a holiday for all specified educational institutions tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
The holiday applies to all the educational institutions mentioned below across the PCMC jurisdiction:
- Primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools.
- All management types: Municipal corporation schools, private aided, unaided, and self-financed institutions.
- All English medium schools and Anganwadis.
Mandatory Attendance for Staff: While students have a day off, it is strictly mandatory for all headmasters, teachers, and non-teaching staff to report to school during official working hours. The present staff must immediately assist local administration and disaster management cells with emergency relief work and any duties assigned to them.
The order has been strictly enforced for immediate implementation by Sangita Bangar, Administrative Officer of the PCMC Education Department, following directives from the Pune District Collector and District Disaster Management Authority.
