Pune: PMC Announces Water Supply Disruption in Many Areas on July 2

Pune, July 01, 2026: Pune Municipal Corporation has announced the disruption in water supply to many areas under its jurisdiction due to a major leakage on the 1000 mm diameter main water pipeline that supplies water from the Parvati HLR round tank to the Padmavati Pumping Station.

The leakage has occurred Near Avanti Society, Padmavati and because of the urgent and necessary repair work required on this main pipeline, water supply will be completely shut down from the Padmavati Pumping Station to the Seminary Tank, Bibvewadi Tank, Taljai Tank, and Upper Indiranagar Pumping Station.

Date and Schedule of Water Supply Disruption

  • Repair & Shutdown Date: Thursday, July 2, 2026 (02/07/2026). Water supply will be completely closed in the affected areas on this day.
  • Pre-shutdown Supply: Water supply will be provided to the mentioned areas on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (01/07/2026).
  • Post-repair Resumption: On Friday, July 3, 2026 (03/07/2026), water supply will resume in the morning, but it is expected to be late and at low pressure.
