The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that favourable conditions remain in place for further advancement of the southwest monsoon over the Arabian Sea, parts of Gujarat, additional areas of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, and parts of Madhya Pradesh over the next two to three days. The monsoon is also expected to cover the remaining parts of Jharkhand and Bihar, along with parts of Uttar Pradesh during the following three to four days.
With monsoon activity strengthening across Maharashtra, more spells of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected in several districts over the coming days.
