IndiGo Cancellations: Pune Airport Deploys Extra Staff To Manage Heavy Disruptions
Pune, December 5, 2025: Pune Airport has stepped up manpower and tightened coordination across departments to manage passenger movement as IndiGo’s operational issues continue to cause widespread cancellations.
Airport authorities said that between midnight and 8 am on Friday, 16 IndiGo arrivals and 16 departures were cancelled. One Nagpur to Pune flight was diverted to Hyderabad because of Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL). Other airlines are operating normally.
Officials said parking bay congestion remains a challenge, with several grounded IndiGo aircraft waiting for crew. The reduced bay availability has led to a ripple effect on the schedules of multiple carriers.
According to the airport, teams across operations, terminal management, security, apron services and passenger facilitation have been mobilised to keep services running as smoothly as possible. Coordination with airlines, ground handlers, ATC, CISF and terminal partners has also been strengthened to manage crowding and support travellers. Authorities thanked passengers for their patience during the ongoing disruptions.
IndiGo said Friday is likely to record the highest number of cancellations as the airline works to reset its systems and schedules. The airline said short-term proactive cancellations are being carried out to ease pressure on airports and stabilise operations.
