Delhi Red Fort Blast: Security Tightened at Pune Railway Station, Airport And Key Installations – Videos
Following the tragic car explosion near Delhiās Red Fort that killed at least nine people and injured over 20 others, the Pune Police have stepped up security at key public places across the city.
Heightened Security Across Pune
Security has been tightened at Pune Railway Station, Pune International Airport, Metro stations, and major bus terminals. Officials confirmed that manpower has been increased, and patrolling has been intensified to ensure public safety. Teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), along with the dog squad, GRP, RPF, and city police, have been deployed at critical locations.
Passengers at Pune Railway Station have been asked to cooperate with authorities. Luggage checks are now compulsory, and commuters are advised not to enter platforms without scanning their bags through X-ray machines.
Alert Issued by Maharashtra Police
Following instructions from the Maharashtra Police headquarters, Pune City Police are on high alert. Security measures at sensitive installations, government buildings, and crowded areas have been enhanced as a precautionary step after the Delhi Red Fort blast.

Details of the Delhi Blast
The explosion occurred near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening. CCTV footage revealed a white Hyundai i20 parked near Sunehri Masjid around 3:19 pm, which exploded around 6:52 pm. The blast caused widespread panic, leaving nine dead and over 20 injured.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured that a detailed investigation is underway and that all possibilities are being examined.

Authorities in Pune have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station. Citizens are also advised to avoid sharing unverified information on social media to prevent panic.
